Lamborghini has delivered a record 2,013 cars to customers during the first half of the year.
During the same period last year, the Italian manufactured to sell 1,882 cars. This marks an increase of 7% in sales during this period. Of the 2,013 cars sold, 1,370 were Huracans while the remaining 643 were Aventadors. Lamborghini has said that the new Huracan Spyder and the RWD Huracan 580-2 have helped boost sales. They also have enough orders to make another sales record this year.
The number of cars sold in the month of June is also a record and it stands at 416 units. It is the highest number of cars sold to customers worldwide in one month. The key markets have been the USA, Japan, UK, Greater China and Germany.
“Thanks to the enlargement of the Huracán family, including the introduction of the Spyder and rear-wheel drive version in markets worldwide in spring this year, we were able to deliver an exceptional sales performance in the first six months of 2016,” said Stefano Domenicali, Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. “With a solid order bank, not only for the Huracán, but also for our V12 model the Aventador, we aim to outperform the last year’s sales record yet again.”
Lamborghini has 135 dealers operating in 50 countries. In India, dealerships are present in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, through which they sell the Huracan, Huracan Spyder, RWD Huracan, Aventador and the Aventador Roadster. The range starts at INR 2.99 crores and goes up to INR 5.62 crores. Prices are in ex-showroom, New Delhi. Globally, the manufacturer also sells the Aventador SV and the Aventador SV Roadster. The Urus SUV will soon join the lineup and increase sales tremendously.
