The new Renault Megane sedan joins the Megane lineup along with the hatchback and the estate.
The C-segment sedan is based on the company’s CMF C/D architecture (Common Module Family). This helps in cost reduction and also get benefits from the rest of the Megane range, which includes a lot of features and a similar drive feel.
The sedan comes equipped with a hands-free Easy Trunk Access system, a 7-inch color TFT digital counter, an 8.7-inch I-surface multimedia tablet, a colour head-up display, Easy Park Assist and a host of safety features like Advanced Emergency Braking System and Lane Departure Warning.
The engine options include two petrol engines and three diesel engines. The petrol options are an SCe 115, which comes with a 5-speed manual transmission or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) automatic transmission, and the TCe 130, which comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual clutch EDC automatic gearbox. The diesel engines include the dCi 90, which is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the dCi 110, which comes with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed dual clutch EDC automatic transmission, and the dCi 130, which is available only with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The new Renault Megane sedan will be manufactured at the French company’s Bursa plant in Turkey and will be sold in Algeria, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Israel, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Morocco, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Ukraine.
