Latest images from Maxabout website show details of the Bajaj Pulsar CS400, but as seen from these images the name under the pillion seat mentions the name as VS400 along with an ARAI certificate confirming the same.
Maxabout has posted images of the Pulsar CS400 however, the badge under the pillion seat reveals that the motorcycle will be called as Pulsar VS400. Though the name of the bike does come as a surprise, Maxabout also has ARAI certificates and brochures of the motorcycle suggesting the change of name from the CS400 to VS400.
The latest images also show power output, gross vehicle weight and power displacements of the bike. The Pulsar VS400 produces a maximum power output of 35 HP at 8,000 rpm from its 373.2cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine borrowed from the KTM Duke 390 with a gross vehicle weight of 332Kgs.
The Pulsar VS 400 will come with a 6-speed transmission, with other features including full-LED headlamps, a fully digital split instrument cluster, a mono-shock at the back with optional ABS. Upon launch, the Pulsar VS 400 will be the fastest and most powerful motorcycle ever to come out of the Bajaj line-up. The design of the production motorcycle largely remains unchanged from the concept that was first previewed at the 2014 Auto Expo and was also spied sometime back without any camouflage. However, the production model will feature conventional telescopic front suspension instead of the USD front forks seen on the concept bike.
The brochure also reveals the two-tone colour options, Dark Blue/Black livery, while the VS 400 moniker can be clearly seen below the pillion seat of the motorcycle. The VS400 is expected to launch sometime by the end of this month, while expected to be priced between Rs. 1.6 Lakhs – Rs. 1.8 lakhs (ex-showroom).
