Ducati is all set to launch the xDiavel in India on the 15th September 2016. The Ducati xDiavel is the next-generation power cruiser from Ducati, lying between a high-powered performance motorcycle and a cruiser. The company has been constantly releasing a set of teasers of the xDiavel through their official twitter handle.
The Ducati xDiavel in India will feature a belt-drive and will be powered by a Ducati Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) 1,262cc engine further mated to a six-speed transmission. The engine will churn out 158 HP at 9,500 RPM with a peak torque of 128.9Nm at 5,000 RPM.
The bike is expected to get three different riding modes – Sport, Touring and Urban. Additionally, the xDiavel will also get the Ducati Safety Pack which includes cornering ABS and EBD, traction control, ride by wire, cruise control, and Ducati’s Power Launch system.
The motorcycle internationally is offered in the xDiavel S variant which though mechanically identical to the regular xDiavel variant, will have additional features such as full-LED lighting cluster, an infotainment system with Bluetooth and machined finish on all the alloys and engine covers. Both variants are mechanically identical. We are still not sure whether or not Ducati will introduce the xDiavel S in India or not. The Ducati XDiavel is expected to be priced in India at the Rs 15-20 lakh (Ex-Showroom) bracket.
Ducati is already offering the Diavel and the Diavel Carbon in India at a price range starting from Rs. 14.81 Lakhs(Ex-Showroom, Delhi NCR), with the xDiavel launch in September, Ducati will be able to further extend the Diavel family.
