The Ducati XDiavel and XDiavel S are available across dealerships at Rs 15.87 lakh and Rs 18.47 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi)
With Ducati’s plan to introduce almost their entire range of bikes in India, the launch of Ducati XDiavel and XDiavel S is another stride into it. As reported by us earlier, the launch of both the performance-cruiser hybrids took place on 15th September 2016, with the Ducati XDiavel priced at Rs.15.87 lakh and Ducati XDiavel S tagged Rs 18.47 lakh. The launch comes nearly after a month of the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro found its way into the Indian markets.
Both the Ducati XDiavel and XDiavel S run on the same powerhouse. The engine is a 1262 cc, L-twin, Testastretta-Desmodromic Variable Timing(DVT), liquid cooled core. The drive can deliver 156BHP of power and 128.9Nm of max torque at 5000RPM. A six-speed gearbox with multiplate wet clutch forms the transmission unit. The bikes offer three ride modes : Sport at 156HP, Touring 156HP, and Urban 100Hp. An integrated RidebyWire(RbW) electronic circuit controls the power to be delivered to the wheels based on the ride mode selected.
As with all their bikes, Ducati has loaded the bikes with features to ensure a quality ride. Riding modes, Ducati Safety Pack that includes ABS, Ducati Power Launch, RbW, Cruise control, Hands-free, Backlit handlebar switches are common inclusions in both the models. The XDiavel S comes with additional premium features, naturally priced higher. The XDiavel S includes Day Lighting System with a full LED bundle case in the headlamps, Bluetooth module for connectivity and an Infotainment system and premium seats. Both the models include Ducati’s first ever inclusion of a final belt drive that offers a much smoother ride and cleaner emissions with low maintenance.
