A new Mercedes-Benz concept pickup truck will be revealed tomorrow at an event in Sweden
Called “The Concept”, the Mercedes-Benz pickup will be shown at an event in Stockholm tomorrow. The event will be live streamed on the German company’s Youtube channel. The unveiling will happen at 6:30 pm (CEST).
This will be the car maker’s first pickup truck and is being developed with Renault and Nissan. It will be based on the Renault Alaskan and the Nissan Navara. The pickup will be built in Spain and Argentina along with the Renault and Nissan trucks.
The Mercedes will get a distinctive character. This will get its own engine range and its own suspension settings. There could be a range-topping AMG variant as well. The exterior will have the latest Mercedes design language while the interior is also expected to be more luxurious.
The pickup truck will be more expensive than its Renault and Nissan counterparts. It will be sold in Europe, Latin America, Australia and South Africa. The car, which could be called the X-Class, will not be sold in North America.
