The Ferrari 812 Superfast has just been revealed. The replacement version of the F12 Berlinetta is said to be the most powerful production model ever to be produced by the Italian supercar manufacturer.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast is the upgraded version of the F12 Berlinetta with a larger and more powerful 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine churning out 789 BHP and 718 Nm of torque, making it more powerful than the F12tdf. The V12 of the Ferrari 812 Superfast is officially the most potent front-mounted engine present in any production car till date.
The V12 of the Ferrari 812 Superfast is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission sending power to the rear wheels. The car accelerates to a top speed of 211 mph which is equal to the F12tdf. The 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari to use electronic power steering system to enhance the agility of the supercar. The car also gets the second-generation Virtual Short Wheelbase which further sharpens the handling providing quicker steering response times which was first seen on the F12tdf. Along with this Ferrari have also added in the latest version of its patented Side Slip Control (SSC) which makes the car easier to handle.
The exterior design of the 812 Superfast has been made more aggressive than its predecessors, with many noticeable aerodynamic features, new grille and new LED tail lights. The car comes equipped with all the latest features and technology like active aerodynamic flaps at the front underbody and the rear flank to help increase downforce.
The interior of the car gets a refreshed sportier and a more radical dashboard, with an updated steering wheel and instrument cluster. The seats are now much sportier and have better ergonomics as compared to the F12 Berlinetta.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast will make its officially public debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March and will go on sale soon after.
