The Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Package loses the fixed wing and gets a manual transmission.
It looks like the success of the limited-edition 911 R has led Porsche to create the Touring Package for the new 911 GT3. The Touring Package gives the Porsche 911 GT3 a manual transmission, while it loses the fixed rear wing.
The powertrain remains identical to the 911 GT3 with a manual transmission. The car gets a four-litre, six-cylinder engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine produces 500hp and 460 Nm of torque. This propels the car to 100 kph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 315 kph.
The body of the car remains the same as that of the GT3, with the exception of the fixed rear wing. The rear wing has been replaced by an adaptive rear spoiler as present on the Carrera models.
The interior and equipment levels of the car remain unchanged. This ensures the same level of comfort and handling capabilities of the sports car. Customers also get an option for some extra Alcanata covered interior fittings.
The 911 GT3 Touring Package will be on display at the ongoing 2017 International Motor Show in Frankfurt. It is now available to order at Porsche dealerships.
